Are you an experienced Service Advisor with a passion for delivering excellent customer service?

Our client is a well-established and successful automotive dealer group in Canterbury, looking for a friendly, professional and customer-focused Service Advisor to join their busy Aftersales team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a modern dealership environment where you will play a key role in ensuring customers receive an outstanding experience from booking their vehicle in through to collection.

The Role

As a Service Advisor, you will be the main point of contact for customers throughout their vehicle’s service and repair journey.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Welcoming customers and providing exceptional customer service.
• Booking vehicles in for servicing, maintenance and repairs.
• Liaising closely with customers, Technicians and the Workshop team.
• Keeping customers updated on vehicle progress throughout the day.
• Explaining servicing, repairs and additional work clearly to customers.
• Preparing accurate estimates and obtaining authorisation for additional work.
• Reviewing and presenting Electronic Vehicle Health Checks (eVHCs), including videos and recommendations.
• Contacting customers regarding recommended repairs, maintenance and advisory work.
• Promoting relevant additional products and services where appropriate.
• Following up on declined or deferred work.
• Preparing invoices and processing customer payments.
• Handling customer queries and resolving concerns professionally.
• Ensuring all customer records and administration are accurate and up to date.
• Supporting departmental targets, customer satisfaction and customer retention.

About You

• An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
• Confident building relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment.
• Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
• Experienced as a Service Advisor or within the automotive industry – desirable but not essential.
• Full training and support can be provided for the right candidate.
